KOR here. I'll just say this, don't be intimidated by the Korean language. It was created to be easy. The only difficult part is associating the different sounding thing to the word (개 (geh) which means dog/ there are other longer words that means dog but lets start simple).
Once you understand how simple it is and how it works, you'll get down the basics (Even as a korean, I was never taught how to read or write. But i did teach myself how to primitively read/write)
It takes practice and dedication especially as an adult (like with any language).
Lastly, my American roommate amazingly spoke korean fluently. And to my amazement he taught himself. Perfect korean accent by a non korean is somewhat rare.

Hello My name is JaeHyun Bae and i am a student. I live in korea. I've always wanted to move to US and study english. But, I need to learn english. I know a bit of basics. I will gladly teach korea to anyone who helps me out :)
