Trying to improve my chinese or learn Japanese
Hello everybody, my name is Pierrick, native french speaker 27 years old.

Just went back from 18 months abroad in China and travelled a lot(2 times to Japan, all around China, Taiwan and Indonesia). I really miss hanging out with foreigners and since I'm going to work and live in Lyon for a little while, maybe some new friends would be a good idea. I'd like to study Chinese and maybe learn Japanese too. I can teach french and I'm fluent in English even if I don't think I know enough to teach in that language. The point is if I can find some news friends to hang out and do some language exchange it would be wonderful.

To help you know me, there is some things you need to know. Curious and motivated I already work by myself to train myself in Chinese (memrise.com) so finding a native speaker would be great to help me pratice my communication skills. For the japanese I just bought a book and tried to learn a bit by myself but Chinese and Japanese at the same time is quite hard:) For my hobbies, let's say I'm divided into outdoors and indoors activities. I listen to music (playing myself a bit of Ocarina), tv shows and mangas(The big bang theory, How I Met your mother and lots of others) going to movie theater, enjoy a good restaurant, playing video games and writing stories. I also enjoy some sport, travelling (that one is like my best activity, I really enjoy going abroad and discover new cultures and landscapes) and sometimes hiking. At last but not least I have a dog (Shiba Inu japanese dog).

I currently search for a job to move in Lyon but I'm open to start as pen pals because I can't drive to Lyon every day.

Hope to hear from you soon.

Dear Mr Pierrick,

I read your post here and feel impressed by your passion for Chinese and new experiences. Therefore I am here to reply you and hope it will arrive up to you.
I am a Chinese, working for a traditional Japanese company (There are more details in my profile.). I enjoy myself learning foreign languages through communication with any people who also would like to improve themselves. I don't mean to brag, but I studied Japanese by myself from the very beginning and I got chance to come to study and work in Japan with help of my family and friends!

I hope I can be some help in your Chinese or Japanese learning. And I would like to improve my life by improving English.

Best wishes.

(Note: I am sorry if I made a mistake greeting you Mr. Pierrick.)

你好 Jingyu,

Your message arrived to me:) Your story is quite impressive. I'm really motivated to live in Japan because, well, because I really loved that country and the people there. But without speaking fluently in Japanese this is completely out of question. So, well done. Altough you already knew the Kanji part:)

I was hoping to find someone face to face to meet in Lyon but I won't say no to a pen pal either. Especially if you speak the two languages:)

I'm new here so how can we do that?

Best wishes.

(Note: I am sorry if I made a mistake greeting you Mr. Pierrick.) -> No mistake were made:)

Dear Mr. Pierrick,

I am glad to hear that you would like language exchange with me.
Voice and text chat sounds nice in exchanging stories.

Same with you, I just joined this web several days ago and have some difficulties in utilizing its functions.
There are some regulations and rules restraining us from exchanging email addresses and some other social networking. By the way, I have a nickname of gingerxx87.

Good luck.
