Re:Re:How to say Hello in Russian
рада знакомству - means nice to meet you. since "рада" ends in -a, it's a woman, saying that phrase.
Anyway, I would rather say "Приятно познакомиться" ... which is a bit more than nice to make your acquaintance.

Re:Re:How to say Hello in Russian
'Hello' will 'Здравствуйте' [Zdravstvuite] in russian at formal talkings. But if you want to say 'Hello' to your friend then it will 'Здравствуй' [Zdravstvui].

Re:Re:How to say Hello in Russian
It is a wrong suggestion. The russian word 'Привет' translated correctly as just 'Hi' in english.

Re:Re:Re:How to say Hello in Russian
You are wrong because you do not distinguish properly between the meaning of words: 'meet' and 'acquitance'.

Re:Re:How to say Hello in Russian
The member "Veronica Kopylova" mislead you again. Do not believe to her. For example, we say often 'Здравствуйте' [Zdravstvuite] to lonely person too. It means 'Hello'.
The english word 'Hello' never translated as 'Привет' in Russian.
Please, be aware here are many roguish persons, who false describe their-self as allegedly native russian speakers and even give wrong tips about a Russian language here but actually their Russian are very poor. They are just trying to lure you to more close contact with they. They use false profiles here and wrong tips as a bite to their con artistic trap.
