Help with Slang!
I have been learning German only since January of 2015. It has always been a dream of mine to do so. So now we are getting into pronouns, and the teacher is speaking in more German every day. She says that my accent is terrible. Everyone tells me "Watch movies in German that is how I did it." Wow, the slang goes right over my head and I am having trouble with accents. Any advice? Anyone want to practice? Thanks in advance, and if you are in the DC area, I owe you a beer, or a coffee.

Hello sir, I'm practicing Deutsche as well and I find very helpful to watch English (American) movies that are translated to German. Like the last Man Standing with Bruce Willis you can find that in YouTube . My recommendation is to see it in English first make note of the slangs on the scenes and then watch Tue same scene in German so you can compare.
