Midsommersdag
Howdy from the USA. I have been to Sweden twice and I love the country, the people, and the culture. I live in Kansas and there is a town here named Lindsburg. It is called "little Sweden USA" and they celebrate midsommersdag. I have seen it and now I want to travel to Sweden to see it in person. Does anybody know if Stockholm has a big holiday or do I have to travel to one of the smaller communities?

Howdy Denton
Nice to here you enjoy the the midsummer, in swedish "midsommar", but you probably already knew that.. The best area to celebrate this event is definately the county of Dalarna about 250 km NE of Stockholm around the lake Siljan. Camping grounds around Leksand, Rattvik or Mora are probably the best places. There you will experience the most intense and traditional celebrations. If you´re lucky it doesn´t rain..
Good luck /David
