My husband lost his father, who came to America many years ago,at a young age. Health problems for my husband has left us for little time. If you are from greece and willing to share your language, culture, etc.,it would mean so much. He really wants to pas on some knowledge to his sons of thier heritage. Please email or post here to pauls wife. I will answer all serious replies. Thank you so much

Hi to both of you! Your mail is very nice and touching. Roots are very important, & you should be wonderful parents. I can’t help you very much, as I am Italian. It is a poor suggestion, but: have you already seen the movie "My Big, Fat Greek Wedding"? It is just an amusing comedy, but with much truth in it about Greek way of life and values, very similar to the Italian ones. In the South of Italy, by the way, we have some areas in which they speak an ancient Greek dialect, and they are still able to make themselves understood by modern Greeks. Are you still able to cook Greek food? I cook some of them. An other little suggestion: I have recently read one of your great classics, Euripides “Cyclops”. This play is not a tragedy, but a satyr play, full of wonderful humour. You might read it with your children. We owe much of our Western culture to you Greeks. I hope to read you again, and to hear you are feeling better! Ciao, Teresa.
