Seeking to learn Russian, Italian, Spanish, and French. Will help you learn English.
Hello all. My name is Tracie. I am 37 and live in the United States. I took French in high school but unfortunately did not retain any of it. Now that I am older, I love learning experiencing diverse cultural activities, and as a part of that, I want to learn 4 specific languages: Italian, Russian, Spanish and French. I think they are all beautiful languages and would love to speak them. Spanish, Italian, and French should be similar I think because they all seem to flow in a similar fashion. My rationale for wanting to speak Russian stems from an experience I had after the 9/11 tragedies. I volunteered at a respite center at the ground zero site as an American Red Cross nurse. During one of my shifts, a man who spoke only Russian came in. He was ashen gray, clammy, and clutching his chest. Having experience in cardiac medicine, I knew that the man was having a heart attack, so I knew what to do; however, I felt so helpless because he was trying to tell me something that I could not understand. Prior to my volunteer experience, I resided in an area that was not culturally diverse. I had not been exposed to many people who spoke different languages. I now live in the NJ/NY area and am more exposed to it, so I want to learn as much as I can. That day really left an impression on me and I want to be able to help. If anyone is interested in helping me learn any of these languages, please let me know.

Hello Tracie, I'm french and if you want some help you can contact me. I also speak italian, and yes french ant italian are similar because these two languages have got the same roots.
Very good choice for russian, it's a very beautyfull language (i learned too)

Hello Tracie, my name is Slava and I live in Russia. It's difficult to understand foreign language through different expressions and slang. And only native speaker can gives corrective explanation. I think our conversation will bring us a lot of goods. Because the desire to improove my English is very strong too.
