Re:Re:Short phrases in Amharic
Hello. I have a friend from Addis-Ababa and I would like to better communicate with him. I was wondering if you could teach me a few things like greeting. Exampl how to say or ask things such as hello, goodbye, how are you, some replies to how are you. I am not a gold memeber so if you could just reply to this message with some of the answers than I would be very greatfyl.

Re:Re:Short phrases in Amharic
Dear Solomon
I am an Australian living and working in Sth Korea. I have been asked at short notice, to help organise the wedding of an Ethiopian man who I am friends with. He and his future wife both speak Amharic.
I would like to get some Amharic phrases that wedding guests would say to a newly married couple. My idea is for the guests to call these phrases to the couple when they arrive at the wedding reception.
If you are able to give me some phrases, please write them in English. I would appreciate receiving any help, but I need to receive this as soon as possible as the wedding is this Saturday (3rd February)
Thanks for your help
Alex Banks
