Hello, Ina & Jaakko(^-^)
I'm a Japanese university student¡ù
My name is SAYURI. Nice to meet you¢ö

It is my first time to communicate with Finnish(^o^)
And I'm very glad that you have some interests in Japan.
I don't know almost everything about Finland......
The only one thing that I know about your country is there are few people who has bad tooth¡ù Is that true?
I want to know about Finland more!!!!!!!! So please tell me anything about your country¢ö

I'll tell you anything about Japan. But...I live in the small island far from the main island of Japan.
So I might have some things that I don't know about Japanese cultures.....
Because our island has original traditions and cultures, and it is a little different from Japanese main island.....
But I have no problem in my Japanese!!! So if you want to know Japanese words, please ask me!!!!!!!!

Hello Sayuri!
Nice to hear from you. We are happy to tell you anything about Finland, so please just ask whatever comes to your mind ^^.
I have to say I don't know about that tooth thing, but it might be true, because we have good dentists and little kids go yearly to schooldentist.

Are you living in Okinawa? It's not small, but it's the only place we know have little different culture than in the main Japan. ^^ Would you tell us your islands culture too? It would be nice to hear that too! Is there snow where you live? It's winter time here and the first snow rained couple of days ago. Everything is white ^^.

Hope to hear from you soon,
take care!

To Sayuri Oshiro!
Hello again Sayuri!
It was nice to hear about you, hope you are well? We know little about Okinawa, more history than nowdays life, because one of Inas hobbyes is karate and kobudo and she has read from Okinawa too. So we know something about Okinawas history, but only very little (and based on karate and kobudo) and we are very keen on hearing more.

Could you tell us how is the weather there? How warm is it? How you usually spend Chirstmas? When we travel to Japan Inas dream is to come to wisit in Okinawa too.

Today was snowstorm here. It rained about 20cm snow, but it was 1 celsius warm, so not really cold. In Lapland there is about -15 celsius now and later in the winter it might get to -30. If you really want to see snow, come to visit Finland in wintertime. We would be really happy to meet you! ^^. Ina thinks think snow is beautiful, especially when it’s cold outside it’s nice to be inside and drink hot tea. ^^ Jaakko doesn’t like cold. Best place to see a lot of snow is to go to Lapland. There is flights to Rovaniemi city, which is in North Finland. But even in South Finland you can see a lot of snow sometimes.

We live in Espoo, which is near the capital Helsinki in South Finland. Normally in winter there is only -10 or -15 celsius, which is not so much by our standarts.

Take care! Waiting to hear about you soon!
Ina & Jaakko

Unbelievable!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's tooooooo cold!!!!!!!!(@o@)
How can you spend the days in winter time??? Should you wear many many clothes????
I want to experience your winter time!!!!!
In Okinawa, the temperature is about 17~19 dgrees even in winter time. But it is very cold for us(>_<)
But I like winter time(^-^)
In Okinawa, we usually go to see the illumination in Christmas day!!
And eat delicious dinner.

To Sayuri Oshiro

Hello Sayuri!
Thank you for writing us back, you can write us at any time you want, so no worries ^^.

There is a few people in Finland doing kobudo, but Ina is saying she is just beginner at kobudo. She has practised little bit with bo and sai. It is very interesting hobby. Ina is also doing art, and she has pictures in internet. If you know art gallery site deviantart, Ina has a gallery there. Inas nickname is Forem. You can search her with that nickname.

The winter weather might get even bit colder in South Finland. -10 is not yet so much by our standard, when it gets to -25 or -30 it’s cold ^-^. We have good winter clothes and warm winter jackets. We do almost everything we do in summer in winter too, some of us even swim ~ ^.

You have +17-19 in winter time? That is almost our summer temperature ^^. You should come to visit in Finland. We’ll be waiting ~ ^.
In Christmas eve, we usually are with our families and eat a delicious dinner. After dinner we open presents which are from Santa Claus. In Christmas day we sometimes go to visit to our relatives

What kind of Christmas foods do you have? ^^

Waiting to hear from you again! Take care and be well!
Ina and Jaakko
