Instead of "Itadakimasu", in Filipino (Tagalog) we say "amen"

"Saying Grace" is something that may be said before eating food in a Christian household, depending on how devout they are. It is used more often in the "Bible Belt" region of the USA. Grace is basically a public prayer of thanks to God for the food, the company, asking God for blessings upon them (and the food). When anime is dubbed to English "Thanks for the food" is most definitely used - and to me it conveys a cultural aspect that is mostly absent in a secular English environment.
Instead of "Itadakimasu", in English we say ""Thank you", "Thanks", nothing at all."
