I am in search of a Portuguese instructor for my career and just for pleasure. I have been studying the language for close to four years but my speaking is still dismal - I would say that I am at the intermediate level. I would like to improve conversationa lly. I would like to dedicate a good amount to improving my grasp of the language.

I will be studying in London, England, for the next two years and I would like to travel around Europe and eventually sail around the world. I need to learn as many languages possible... The top 5 languages are 1. Ukranian 2. Russian 3. German 4. Farsi. 5 Mandarin.
I have a Russian penpal and a Ukranian penpal and I would like to learn these languages first.
I am a beginner, I have only just begun the Pimsleur Language programs for Russian and German. I would like a teacher that would be interested in teaching me in person for the summer and then keeping in contact via e-mail or phone for the rest of the year.

I would be a beginning student. My plan is to travel to Italy with my daughter this fall. I would like to be fluent enough to facilitate travel in Italy, especially in small towns where English is not likely to be spoken by many people.
I can dedicate at least one hour per day listening to tapes, watching Italian language movies, or studying vocabulary, grammar, syntax, etc. I would like at least one teaching session per week.
I would prefer a patient teacher who emphasizes conversation over grammar, literature or history.
