Hi Olga,
My husband and I are adopting two young children (under 3 years old, a boy and girl) from Russia. We are now waiting for our match! I have been studying a little Russian from books but would like to learn the language from a native speaker and to eventually teach our children both English and Russian. I am looking for a teacher who is patient but will challenge me, and perhaps long term to help with teaching our children, probably in our home at that point. Until then I would like to have lessons once or twice a week and preferably not have to drive very far! I would also like to learn more about the Russian culture. I am looking primarily for someone with which to practice listening and speaking. I read and write at an intermediate level but have a hard time understanding the spoken language. At my age I will never be completely fluent, but I would like to become solidly functional. I spend probably 5 hours per week working on it on my own. My goal is to live in Umbria for several years with my husband, sometime in the future.

I have always been fascinated with Sign Language and now that I have a new granddaughter I especially feel it is important to learn to speak to her as early as possible. I am a beginner and know only the very basics of Dutch. I have been around the language for extended amounts of time and often try to listen to Dutch music. While I am going to school I find it difficult to practice so I am looking for some kind of summer course to be able to take in the Netherlands. I am learning Dutch because one day I plan on living in the Netherlands and it is essential for me to know the language. I am willing to dedicate as much time as I need to in learning Dutch. I will practice all the tiem as long as I have short term goals set for me. I am looking for a very organized teacher who can encourage and guide me through learning this, what seems to be, ver difficult language.
