My daughter, Jacqueline, is 12 and is a serious language student. Currently we have a full time Mandarin Chinese language teacher here in the United States. We are looking for an arrangement where Jacqueline can spend 6 hours per day working on her Mandarin. (I would be there as chaperone.) We want to be in a country where Mandarin is spoken so that she may have as much time as possible working on the language. By the time she would arrive in March, she would have approximately 500 hours of instruction. We would plan to stay for three months. She is then going to Italy to work on her Italian and would return in the fall for several more months to work on her Mandarin. Currently, her lessons include reading, speaking and writing Mandarin. We are hoping to have her knowledgeable enough so she can be understood by another Mandarin speaker.
W e could live-in our stay in a hotel. We are interested in what the possibilities are. Also, if a teacher needed help on their English, we could assist in this.

I am finishing my third semester in American Sign Language. I will have compeleted the second level in Signing Naturally. I am wanting to continue learning ASL so that I can meet, work with, and have Deaf friends. I would especially like to improve in converstaion in ASL. I would like to spend a few hours a week on lessons. Someone who is Deaf, yet patient with a hearing student would be preferred. I am wanting to learn during January and over the summer while I am at home.
