I do not have any previous knowledge of the language,i.e. Irish Gaelic,howeve r it is a language that appeals to me. Celtic languages have been once spoken from what is now Spain to Central Europe and even Asia Minor, so they are important for understanding of today's European linguistic structure.

Hi, my name is Alexandra I am 28 years old and will be living in Toronto for the next year. My partner is africaans and as a surprise I want to start learning the basic and surprice in a year when we are on holiday. I am at beginners level. I would like to attend a class that would run from around 7 p.m at nigth 1 time a week. I would love if there was a group option but otherwise one to one is also ok. I would like to make the learning as fun and exciting as possible and start by learning the basic so I could have a conversion with my partner.

I am looking for one on one Cantonese instruction. Previously, I had taken levels 1 and 2 Mandarin instruction through U of T with success. We also studied traditional characters which I feel gives me a good base to begin learning Cantonese. I have traveled to Hong Kong several times in the past few years out of interest, and my partner and his family speak Cantonese. In terms of my learning objectives, I would like to take lessons once or twice per week in order to become proficient in speaking, writing, and texting. I would also prefer making a more long-term commitment to my learning as I would like to become proficient.

I want to learn Amharic for my own personal reasons. I'm at a beginners level; however,I've learned some Amharic years ago so I still have a little understanding of the language. I would like to improve on my pronuciation of the Amharic characters and writing them. I would like to learn proper grammar and learn how to have a conversation in Amharic. Once a week should be suffice for my learning need(I like homework. The instructor I'm seeking an instructor who has patience, is pleasant and likes to teach.
