I am a beginner who has look at learning on line but cant find anything suitable. I am in the process of tracing my family on the Isle of Skye and want to learn so I can read what has been written and would one day like to take a trip there and think it would be benifical. I am learning Irish for several reasons, I am an IT Professional working in software engineering. I deal with multiple languages daily but these are programming languages.
I am originally from N.Ireland and now I live in the Republic of Ireland, at school I selected french instead of Irish now that I live in the Republic of Ireland I am surrounded by the Irish language and would like to learn it and speak it.
I have a web developement project where the content is all in Irish and must bring myself up to speed.

i would like to dedicate each day to learning Irish, using it in everyday life. Watching TV/News in Irish, corrsponding with people in Irish.
I would like to begin with maybe 1-2 days per week of instructor led training. The rest of the week I would learn myself.
What qualities you are looking for in your lessons or in your teacher.
A teacher who is tech savy, can use Skype and has a knowledge of Irish for Technology, Science, Maths & Politics

I am learning for a foreign language because I am interested in speaking in many different languages. I am a beginner is french, and hoping to be an advanced. I need improvement on everything, I need to start from the very begginning, I'd like to be able to speak, read and write. I like to have two to three classes per week. The qualities I am looking for in my teacher is that he/she can speak fluent french and english so I can understand them well.
