Hello,
I would be a total beginner to the hindi language. I am looking forward to learning the language, for mainly personal reasons, nothing to do with career or such. I need help in all areas of the language everything from basic grammar to everyday conversationa l phrases. With regards to the amount of time I want to dedicate to lessons, I’m not really sure. I would have to see exactly how difficult or easy it is to work with the lessons. I’m sure it would help if instructor and student would be able to relate to each other on things other than the basics of the language. So, I would be looking for an instructor who is young at heart, patient with a good sense of humor. Someone who is professional, and will make the lessons relaxed and pleasant.

I have recently returned from five months of study and travel in India, where I learned very basic conversationa l Hindi. I plan to return to India soon to pursue a career in teaching or political advocacy. I am willing to dedicate approximately three to five hours a week to private lessons, and more to personal study. My ideal teacher is someone who has experience teaching beginners, and could perhaps introduce me into a community where I could practice the language in a social setting.
