I would consider myself to be at an intermediate proficiency level. I am able to understand Arabic better then i can speak it, and i would like to learn how to read and write the language. I would like to improve upon my Arabic reading and writing skills as well as conversation for my own pleasure. Seeing as though i am quite busy, i would be willing to dedicate myself to one class per week. I would prefer if my teacher were younger, easy going and more modern in terms of teaching methods and curriculum.

Hello,
I am an American living in Canada who has taken a great interest in learning Urdu. Since Toronto is a very culturally diverse city, I know many people who speak Urdu and I wish to learn as much as I can. It is also helpful for translation assistance as well. I have been self-teaching myself through books for about a year and would love structured lessons and conversationa l help. I can read and write the script already. I have learned the nashk style script, but can change easily without any problems. I listen to Hindi music and have learned a great deal from that as well as watching Indian movies and any Urdu or Hindi language television that I can. I hope someone will respond with helpful information for me and plans on getting started quickly.
