I am interested in taking Hindi lessons. I have visited India 6 times since 1993 and I plan to continue traveling to India for the rest of my life. I can speak a little bit ( tora tora ) including simple pleasantries , counting , and other basics.
I am totally fascinated with India in so many ways and although I'm aware that Hindi is only spoken mostly in the North of the country speaking Hindi will allow me to communicate with the largest number of people possible when visiting India . Also , it's similarity ( spoken ) to Urdu is another reason for wanting to learn Hindi.
I'm mostly interested ( for now ) in conversationa l Hindi . I want to continue taking Hindi lessons so it's important to find a teacher who I get along with and vice versa. I'm willing to pay a reasonable, competitive rate and I'll probably want to meet once a week for the next six months at least.
I have no preference for male or female teacher neither does age make a difference. I would like my teacher to be intelligent and passionate about Hindi and India in general.
Please respond if you think we might be able to have a good Guru/chela relationship.
