I would like to learn Hindi because I am married to an Indian man and his entire family speaks Hindi and i would like to conversate with them. I am definitely a beginner, i watch lots of indian film to help familiarize myself wih some vocabulary. I can dedicate at least 2-3 hours a week to learn, maybe even more if i really enjoy it. I would really like as patient teacher, someone who is friendly and approachable.

I am moving to Brazil either sometime in October or beginning of November 2011 probably looking to work and live there.
I plan to do an immersion Portugese course once there, but want to have some Portugese to get around and make connections before I go.

I wish to learn russian because it is a widely spoken language, and as a future doctor I feel that large portion of my future patients will speak russian and hence it will greatly benefit the communication process. I'm a Beginner, having never spoken russian before. I can dedicate about 10 hours a week. I look for a teacher that is critical yet supportive and provides regular feedback.

hello, i'm a beginer in arabic, i can read quran and understand to, i need to improve my communication skills in arabic with a saudi native speaker, im intrested in conversations and knowing more about the saudi culture, rules and laws etc.
1 hour a week should be enough for a begginer.
as far as the teacher qualities, good and clear communication skills and a teacher who will understand his or her student's learning cababilty.
