"It's better to be safe than sorry" means that it is better to have more than less of something. For example, if it looks like it is going to rain outside and you are debating bringing an umbrella, you should bring one anyways because "it's better to be safe than sorry."

what does it mean? qu'est ce que ca veut dire?
allons droit au but, j'ai un ami qui est parti à bali et revenu avec un peu de vocabulaire et des expressions typiques... il m'en repète une sans arrêt, et je ne trouve pas la traduction sur internet, je ne suis pas sure non plus de l'orthographe mais phonétiquement ça donne: "nyantot you"...
Alors est ce que quelqu'un pourrait m'aider à éclaircir le mystère de cette phrase? merci!
