Re:Help me I will help you
Ciao Mandi, io sono italiana e, se vuoi, posso aiutarti un po'.
You are going to be a very young bride, really! I think Italy can be a smashing country to go to on a honeymoon, some places are so romantic! Are you coming to Venice too? I live not so far and, trust me, it's worth coming. Please, feel free to ask anything you need and I'll try to help.
Lesson one: è stato bello conoscerti, spero di risentirti presto!
Meeting you was nice, I hope to hear from you again soon!
Ciao!

Re:Re:Re:I'll teach English in return for Italian
Hi Damon! Thanks! Of course, I can help you with verbs, I know they're very difficult because of the huge number of exceptions... I think unless you know Latin you'll just have to keep making exercise until they come naturally to your mind. There's a sort of evolution in language here...conjunctive form (one of the most frightening I suppose, with conditional as well) is slowly disappearing, but in such contexts as university or work you're supposed to make good use of the language :)
For example, hearing something like "se lo sapevo non ci andavo" instead of "se lo avessi saputo non ci sarei andato/a" is quite common. This was just to say that you're not alone in your struggle :D

Re:Strangest Translation Ever
A direct translation in Finnish would be: "Vaara. Veneitä ei ole, kun zombit tulevat." However, if this is a text in a warning sign, terse style is in order, for example: "Varoitus! Ei veneitä zombien tullessa."

Re:What MUSAK means
Hi Desislava,

MUSAK is a corporate brand name, like Kleen-Ex and Band-Aids and Coke.

This particular product is what we often call ''elevator music," the really syrupy sweet instrumental versions of big hit songs that have been programmed to be relaxing and soothing and generally have just the opposite effect on most of us. Did you see the movie, Mars Attacks? That's what MUSAK does for me. One of the great mysteries of the universe is that John Lenin thought MUSAK was great stuff. It's amazing. He wrote some of the most amazing music ever written and yet had no sense of musical aesthetics. I've never been able to figure that one out.

I hope that helps.

Cheers!
