I'm Brazilian, and I'll try to help you.
Your sentence "onde está a minha luz" is correct, and you can also say "onde está minha luz" without the article, if it sounds better for your song.
The same can be done for "O meu coração está vazio." You can say also "Meu coração está vazio".
About possessives, they ALWAYS fit to the owned thing, never to the owner. So:
Meu coração
teu carro
seu cabelo
nosso trabalho
etc.
(male)
minha casa
tua vida
sua boneca
nossa vontade
(female)

Hi. I tried to write some sentences in Brazilian Portuguese and I need anybody who either speaks Brazilian Portuguese as a native language or speaks it fluently to please correct any mistakes I might have. I know they're very short and simple sentences, but that just shows you the extent of my knowledge of the language.
1) Eu falo inglês.
2) Eles assistem televisão.
3) Você não bebe leite.
They're supposed to say:
1) I speak English.
2) They watch television.
3) You don't drink milk.

Could anyone please help me to translate these sentences from French to Portugues, english or Spanish?
I do need this translation, because it belongs to a college essay, i couldn't find a right translation to these sentences, so if you can help me , i'll be thanked, and if you need any help in the languages i speak, i'll be glad to help.
the sentences are:
"la chaleur si véhémente de l'air leur tire dehors la chaleur naturelle et la dissipe; et par ainsi sont chaulds seulement par dehors et froids en dedans"
"ont la chaleur naturelle serrée et constrainte dedans par le froid extérieur qui les rend ainsi robustes et vaillans, car la force et faculté de toutes les parties du corps dépend de cette naturelle chaleur"
